From 2021, Lepida becomes the point of reference for the planning and management of identified emergency issues, in close collaboration with the Civil Protection, public healthcare and with all the regional articulations of law enforcement.
Lepida supports the Emilia-Romagna Region in the definition of the plan for launching the Single Emergency Number (NUE 112), according to European and national legislation, as a simplified point of access for citizens to local emergency services. Lepida operates in the management of NUE 112 by implementing technological and organizational solutions tested at the international level, taking into account standardized parameters to forward the calls to second level operating centers, as well as operational necessities in normal conditions and in peak situations, with a service articulated on two redundant locations (Bologna and Parma). NUE 112 is a 24/7 technological system integrated on the Lepida Network to analyze and dispose of incoming calls to 112.
Lepida coordinates and manages crisis tables for single emergencies from both a technological and a territorial point of view; analyzes emergencies, and operating procedures during emergencies, through risk mapping; develops and applies risk analysis metrics to various scenarios; defines guidelines to respond to members' requests related to various activities and functions, also with respect to other infrastructure operators working on the territory; periodically publishes parameters identified for the infrastructures; trains those potentially involved to improve territorial resilience; in close collaboration with the Civil Protection, identifies strategic actions to be implemented in case of emergencies, in order to ensure the maximum continuity of services.
Lepida becomes a permanent structure for the collection of all strategic infrastructure information related to emergencies, with particular reference to the actions under the competence of Lepida.
