On 8 May, in the Emilia-Romagna Region, within the framework of the EmiliaRomagnaSmartWorking project, the in-person meeting “Conoscere e governare: Demografia e socializzazione organizzativa, le politiche del Personale” (Knowledge for governance: demography, socialization and staff policies) was held, and the Metropolitan City of Bologna has presented an intern research about organizing demography, a field of study that analyses the composition of the workforce within an organisation on the basis of demographic variables.

The survey, carried out on internal staff and in particular on the expectations of new hires, showed how individual characteristics play a crucial role in the formation, implementation and impact of organizational policies.

During the event, the important issue of the socialization of new hires with the aim of analyzing the degree of integration, satisfaction and adaptation of new employees within the Body has also been addressed.

This meeting has reinforced the central role of data, both as source of strategy and knowledge, and the listening of people as keys for a conscious design in personnel policies.

In a constant transformation context, tools such as demographic analyses and satisfaction surveys are fundamental for a sustainable and effective growth of PAs.
