SAVIA is the first Artificial Intelligence for law quality project, developed by the Legislative Assembly of Emilia-Romagna in collaboration with Cineca.
It’s a tool that allows to receive answers to questions in natural language regarding the regulatory body of Regional laws, their implementation by the Regional Council, Municipalities and Province as well as the effects they produce on the territory.
The practical applications of the tool were the focus of a conference held on June 30th.
Between the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, several activities were conducted to test the performance of MarghERita, the big data platform of the Region, in the use of SAVIA. In this phase the necessary elements were configured and the number of GPUs made available to the project were increased.
During the conference, it was also confirmed that, in early 2026, SAVIA will enter production on MarghERita with an initial limited use, and then it will be made available to everyone through the AI Factory IT4LIA.
SAVIA will support the Legislative Assembly and Local Administrations in carrying out their institutional functions, while offering the regional community tools for transparency and information on the legislative and administrative activity of the Region.
