The project “From PIAO to Strategic Training, integrated with Artificial Intelligence” was nominated for the Best Cases Award 2025, promoted by Interoperable Europe. 

The project, developed and validated as a prototype in collaboration with Unione Bassa Reggiana in the European Digital Innovation Hub ER2Digit environment, presents an innovative training model for the Public Administration.

This nomination shows how, through the use of GenAI, it is intended to effectively align the strategic objectives of PIAO with the staff’ real training needs, changing training from an obligation to a development lever.

A key element of this solution is the creation of an interoperable index of training courses, which allows to automatically map the needs that emerged with respect to the concrete solutions of training courses present on Syllabus and on Accademia Digitale dei Comuni.

This model will be part of a shared path with Regione Emilia-Romagna through the COMTem and shows how AI can improve the efficiency, transparency and internal exchange of Bodies, setting the bases for a more reactive and strategic PA.
