Making digital truly accessible means creating the conditions for no one to fall behind, especially when it comes to public services. 

On November 26th, in the Library of the Legislative Assembly of the Emilia-Romagna Region, this statement took shape with the officialization of the Integrated Action Plan and the signing of the Manifesto for Digi-Inclusion, as part of the URBACT Digi-Inclusion project.

When different experiences meet, the value often lies in the questions that arise.

It is in this spirit that Lepida welcomed a Chilean delegation of students and healthcare professionals on November 27th for a moment of discussion on digital transformation paths in healthcare. 

This meeting was an opportunity to share approaches and perspectives on healthcare data management in Emilia-Romagna, waiting time monitoring, and the use of Artificial Intelligence in order to support services, always in compliance with the regulatory framework.

The Board of Directors of Lepida has appointed Francesco Raphael Frieri as Director General for the next three-year term.

The first experimental labs of Citizen Science in Action, promoted by Regione Emilia-Romagna together with Art-ER, Lepida and the University of Bologna, were held in Faenza during the Digital Days on November 16th and 17th.

The final stage, dedicated to the Digital Wellbeing, saw four classes from the Oriani and Torricelli-Ballardini institutes work with passion, giving rise to ideas and app mockups ranging from recognizing fake news to monitoring time spent on devices.

The kick-off meeting of SUM-Seniors United against Misinformation, a new European project funded by the Erasmus+ program and dedicated to strengthening the digital skills of those over 65, took place in Barcelona on October 28 and 29 at the Fundació Bofill Social HUB.

The coordinator is Mediawijs, Flanders' centre for media and digital literacy hosted within IMEC, a leading European research centre on nanoelectronics, microchips and digital technologies. 

Lepida has included the Digital Gender Gap into its own Industrial Plan 2025-2027.

Working together with the Regional Digital Agenda, the reduction of this gap represents a crucial challenge for social inclusion, employment and innovation.

Although women represent 51% of the EU population, only 1 out of 3 STEM graduates and 1 out of 5 ICT specialists are women. Filling this gap isn’t just a question of equity: according to the EIGE, raising the number of women in STEM fields could increase EU’s PIL up to 3% by 2050.

Three days of in-depth discussions and confrontation on the cybersecurity challenges facing public administrations in Emilia-Romagna, Trentino-Alto Adige, and Veneto. 

This was, in short, the event "Cybersecurity in the Public Administration: Strategies and Actions," organized by Cerchio ICT —the network agreement that brings together the in-house companies Informatica Alto Adige, Lepida, Pasubio Tecnologia, and Trentino Digitale — in collaboration with the National Cybersecurity Agency, held on October 20, 21, and 22 2025.

The project “From PIAO to Strategic Training, integrated with Artificial Intelligence” was nominated for the Best Cases Award 2025, promoted by Interoperable Europe. 

The project, developed and validated as a prototype in collaboration with Unione Bassa Reggiana in the European Digital Innovation Hub ER2Digit environment, presents an innovative training model for the Public Administration.
